How does Pay later in 3 work?

Pay later in 3 allows you to spread the cost of your purchase over 3 equal payments. The first instalment is collected when your order is confirmed by Bike & Bag, and the remaining two instalments are scheduled automatically 30 and 60 days later. Payments are taken from the debit or credit card entered at checkout.

Am I eligible for Pay later in 3?

To use Pay later in 3, you must be at least 18 years old. This option is subject to your financial circumstances, and although widely promoted, eligibility is assessed individually. Choosing Pay later in 3 will not affect your credit rating.

How can I increase my chances of being accepted?

Klarna considers several factors including your order value, previous order history, and item availability. To improve your chances, provide your full name, accurate address details, and use your registered billing address for delivery. Each order is assessed individually—being accepted before doesn’t guarantee approval in the future.

What do I need to provide at checkout?

To use Klarna's Pay later in 3, you'll need to provide your mobile phone number, email address, current billing address, and a valid debit or credit card. The mobile number is used in case Klarna needs to contact you, and all communication will be sent to your email address. Make sure your details are accurate to receive your payment schedule and order updates.

Will a credit search take place?

Klarna may perform a soft credit check that does not affect your credit score. This is only visible to you and Klarna, and not to other lenders. Neither Klarna nor Bike & Bag runs credit searches that impact your credit rating.

Why haven’t I been offered Pay later in 3?

While Pay later in 3 is widely available, it isn’t offered on every order. Klarna uses algorithms to determine eligibility based on factors like your address, card details, order amount, item availability, and your order history with Klarna.

What are my payment options with Klarna?

Payments for Pay later in 3 are automatically collected from the card used at checkout. The first payment is taken when your order is confirmed, with the second and third collected 30 and 60 days later.

What happens if I cancel or return my order?

Once Bike & Bag accepts your return or cancellation, Klarna will cancel any upcoming payments and refund any amounts already paid.

What if I don’t pay on time?

Klarna will try to collect payment from your card on the due date. If this fails, a second attempt will be made two days later. If that also fails, Klarna will issue a statement for the outstanding amount, payable within 15 days. You’ll be notified at least two days before each payment attempt.

Can I check my Klarna payments?

Yes, you can log in to www.klarna.com/uk at any time to view your orders and payment schedule.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes, payment information is securely processed by Klarna. No card details are shared with or held by Bike & Bag. All transactions are secured using industry-standard encryption and protocols.

Can I pay early?

No, early payment isn’t currently available for Pay later in 3.

Have you received my payment?

Klarna will notify you by email or push notification when a payment is due and when it has been successfully collected. You can always check your payment status by logging in at www.klarna.com/uk.

What happens if I return my order?

If you make a partial return, Klarna will update your payment schedule. If you return your full order, Klarna will cancel future payments and refund any that have already been made once Bike & Bag confirms the return.

I haven’t received my order but Klarna has sent me a statement

If you haven’t received your order, please contact Bike & Bag to check your order and delivery status. You can also contact Klarna’s Customer Service to pause your payment schedule if needed.

How long does a refund take?

Once Bike & Bag has registered your return or cancellation, your refund will be processed within 5–7 business days.

How will I be refunded?

Refunds will be made to the debit or credit card originally used at checkout.
